Artist's Comments
This is a mural that I painted during the last half of my junior year in high school in 2007. My Spanish teacher gave us the plywood, paints, paintbrushes, and supervision necessary to allow this to happen. Several other students and groups of students started murals, but never finished them. This mural I did by myself, all eight-feet-by-four-feet of it. It was featured at a historical museum in my town amid the art of several accomplished artists, along with a couple other pieces of mine (Dragon Dance for one: link ). I worked very hard on this one, but I owe a lot to my Spanish/art/life teacher and the people at my town's art guild.
I sorta had to Photoshop the photographs of this painting in order to get it all together. This is the best digital representation I have of it, however seeing it in person is best, of course. Acrylic on plywood. Artwork © Kuroikii. |
